Art Therapy
Visualizing and externalizing trauma: At Therapeus, participants of our art workshops, can use painting, drawing, collage, fiber arts, or clay sculpting to depict their traumatic experiences in a safe environment. This experience can help each participant gain perspective and begin to process the emotional weight of the trauma, to move toward healing. Classes are open to the public.
Music and Sound
Creating and playing music: Playing instruments, composing songs, or simply listening to music can be a powerful way to release emotions, connect with others, and find solace. Music therapy can also be used to promote relaxation and reduce stress.
Writing and Storytelling
- Sharing and processing difficult experiences: Writing about their experiences can help individuals make sense of their trauma and find meaning in their suffering. Storytelling workshops can provide a supportive environment for sharing these stories and connecting with others who have been through similar experiences.
Garden Crafts
Garden crafts therapy, also known as horticultural therapy, is a powerful tool that combines the therapeutic benefits of nature with the creative expression of crafting. It’s a beautiful way to connect with the outdoors, express emotions, and find peace and well-being.
